Dedicated to the memory of Frank Chen

Born in Tainan, Taiwan, our dear Frank lived a life devoted to his family, his work, and his Christian faith. He raised two children with his loving wife Jennifer, led numerous successful high-tech start up companies, and was a devoted member of his local church, the Free Christian Church, in Andover. He was also a decade-long survivor of chronic kidney disease from Focal Segmental Glomerular Sclerosis (FSGS), having received a successful kidney transplant from his wife in 2009.

Frank was a lover of classical music, particularly the music of Chopin and Rachmaninoff, golf, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Frank's battle with pancreatic cancer began in January of 2017. Faced with a devastating illness, he bravely endured numerous courses of radiation therapy and chemotherapy under the expert care of physicians and nurses at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. His personal strength still allowed him to enjoy many things during his last year of life, including teaching his son to play golf, taking numerous local trips with his wife and friends, attending several performances of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, growing closer with his Bible study groups and becoming an official member of his church. He finally passed away at his home in Andover on Thursday January 18th, 2018, with his wife and children as his side.

We will hold Frank dearly in our hearts always, and remember him as the kindest, most generous and most loving person, and miss him sorely. Despite recent breakthroughs in many other types of cancer, pancreatic cancer remains a fatal disease and the 4th leading cause of death from cancer in the United States.

Please help us to remember our wonderful Frank by making a contribution to pancreatic cancer research in his memory. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
